Connie stood on her balcony letting the wind blow her short pixie cut hair in the wind, she shivered as the wind brushed across her bare legs and arms. She remembered a time when she didn't feel so confident as a teen growing up. She remembered it just like it was yesterday. You have to take care of your brother her uncle would tell her and she knew what she had to do to make sure they were good. Opening her eyes connie jumped realizing she was still on the balcony, but at what cost? She whispered to herself. Her body relaxed as she felt her husband emerald wrap his big strong arms around her, brushing his lips across her neck sending chills down her spine. You couldn't sleep baby? He asked in a sheepish sleepy voice. No baby Connie replied. Turning to face him, another bad dream? Connie didn't even have to respond Emerald knew her all too well. Kissing her forehead he hugged her tight telling her I got you baby and that she finally knew that this man had and loved her......
